While admittedly nothing close to the lighting up of the night on the 4th, some stray fireworks continue fire off hither and yon.
Actually, one firework was actually more of an extended fizzle and another was a blast from the past.
Specifically as for the slow burn, roughly two weeks after things were decided behind closed doors, word was provided to the public that the city pension benefits of federally convicted felon and former City of Quincy department head Tom “Steak Tips” Clasby were officially terminated.
Speaking of spanked senior public officials, former Fall River mayor Jasiel Correia II will be released this weekend after serving roughly four years of a six-year sentence for fraud and related crimes.
One wound think that senior public officials would learn to not do the crime if they can’t do the time, however, it would appear that they cannot help themselves.
That or mistakenly believe they are above the law.

Graziano, Flynn, Clasby, Ralph Maher, Prendeville, Timmins, et. al. Mayor Koch has always surrounded himself with failures and felons. He must know they will be obedient servants because they have no place else to go except to jail.
When are the decisions coming on the statues and the bridge? I need to load up on popcorn.
Q,
The Supreme Judicial Court’s ruling on the City of Quincy’s appeals of trial court motions probably will be published “around” with rejection of appeals on the motions suspected by many and the matter thus then remanded back to Superior Court for trial.
No clue re the bridge other than perhaps soon-ish on the current round of Deal Game playing by the Koch Machine
An interesting note concerning the statues is that the front facade of the new police/fire headquarters was apparently planned, designed, and constructed with spaces dedicated to the religious statues — just look at the front of the building.
Statuegate may be something going far beyond the simple secret purchase of the statues.
True that!!!
Personally, I am so looking forward to seeing the final project costs accounting.
That and at least half hoping the all in cost runs over the authorized spending amount by at least the cost to see the statues made and then shipped from Italy to Quincy.
