In what is hard not to view as a mixed message for other yet to be sanctioned elected scofflaws, former Fall River Mayor Jasiel Correia II is scheduled to to be released from halfway house confinement after serving but a little over four years in confinement on his six year sentence for all manner of illegal crimes committed during his mercurial tenure as the mayor of Fall River.
So what, apparently that time off for good behavior is supposed to be limited to but roughly 15% of the sentence for a federally convicted felon

In this instance, however, Correia looks to have been “dieseled” early on during his time served and more recently assigned to easy time served at a halfway house.
As such, one can only reasonably assume that Correira likely either rolled over on someone or the feds got tired of his sorry tukas.
