No one so far.

St. Patrick’s Day on a Tuesday has made for quiet St. Patrick’s Day in Quincy.
So far anyway.
Quincy Quarry News did check out an out of the way neighborhood Irish pub with a real menu on Friday night and while some locals were in good spirits as they hoisted a few, things were likely barely more exuberant than a typical Friday night.
Further, the Quarry newshounds heard of nothing problematic such as a sucker punching at the last official Quincy St. Patrick’s Day liquid lunch and sorry excuse for a roast or a City of Quincy department head who got sloppy as well as handsy at a Marina Bay licensed premise.

Do we really have to wait for the Campaign Finance report to find out where the sCREW is meeting? Who’s got a tile on whose car? Graz and Pretenderville must be whooping it up by now.
Our City is out of control. I’m all in on firemen but who missed this in the budget?
And, why did then scientist tell us that one load of wash contaminated the other and to run the washer empty to clean it in-between? I like that this is on the front burner but how to pay for it is the Q.
For years there has been next to no thought and even less restraint on what prior city council line-ups have approved. As such give the new council some grace for showing up at a meeting with heart and asking questions.
After all, previously elected local politicians have ignored the finances for decades and have so left Quincy in a financial mess for the next generation. In fact, the hacks violated their fiduciary responsibility.
Tuesday morning on AM Quincy the mayor was asked about the previous night’s city council meeting. He responded by saying he was ‘surprised the vote was not 9-0’ to move it out of committee. To me this shows that he does not understand that his world has changed.
He then went on to say “if someone wants to redo their kitchen but doesn’t have the money to do so they can take out a home equity loan.” True, but another option would be to not take out the loan to remodel the kitchen If somebody WANTS to remodel their kitchen as opposed to doing so when one NEEDS to remodel their kitchen.
Mr. Dough,
Quelle surprise re the quote — Tommy was a serial and frequent refi guy on his house who also pulled out equity at least early on during his overly long run as mayor.
At the same time, what I want to know is how he is able to afford suits that are impeccably tailored in spite of his not off the rack short height and constantly varying width. That and same/same with his apparently extensive slightly less formal wardrobe on a paltry per him $151k a year salary, especially after Dan FlynnFlam was checked into a Club Fed for a leaning on four year stay.
Actually, more like I would like to be able confirm a theory.
