— News and commentary about elsewhere covered by Quincy Quarry News
Every dog has its day, even the grizzled old junkyard dogs who mostly make up the Quincy Quarry News news crew.
Seriously, while mostly only broadcast weather reporters are seen as huggable by at least some of their viewers, most other sorts of reporters need love too — if not especially so — and today is National Hug A Newsperson Day.
After all, only politicians tend to be more reviled than media reporters if only perhaps by narrow margins typically well within the margin of error when tic comes to public opinion polling.

“FYI, not my fault.”

Even so, it should be reporters for the hug as they cannot impose such things as tax increases and/or cuts in government services nor can reporters waste tax money as can as well as all too often do politicians.
In point of fact, reporters such as Quincy Quarry News do the general public a great service by warning of impending things onerous to their readership.

Do you think any current members of the administration or members of the previous city council will be hugging a certain reporter from the PL?
Right after they first swing by the Quincy Quarry News Newsroom …
Seriously, The Force is strong in that one.
I believe the “Rubber Stampers“ from the previous council (yea, that’s including you “Lurch” Devine), all should form a group hug with the local scribes who failed to really dig into the various conflicts of interest, campaign irregularities, asskissery, and general lack of understanding about city government.
A,
In fairness, there is only so much time in the day.
Seriously, if one reads closely as well as knows how to read between the lines, the reporter for the local weekly tabloid throws a surprising amount of backhanded shade as well as recounts some really inane things said to him.
Just his citing the mayor’s prattling on and on and on even more while not sticking to tight talking points care of the handlers is a hoot.
Scribes are beloved, when they report the truth. Of late, several have lost their compass whereas QQ keeps delivers gold and satires the sad circumstances our City is in.
Every road in the City is a testament to the Koch Administration’s failures. We all pay a surtax for our car repairs and insurance because Graz and Tommy cannot plan a yard sale. The DPW pot hole crews can only do so much as they need to hit every street in the City, every week.
Further, I was following a C of Q Street Sweeper the other day and he could have been pulled over for drunk driving. Cattywampus manhole covers and road heaves c/o shoddy the utility repairs patches prevented the sweeper from doing his job properly, not to mention local bad roads are killing yet another valuable piece of equipment paid for by local taxpayers.
Keep hitting the Koch Machine QQ. “Tommy is Toast” should be your new slogan.
