St. Patrick’s Day activities look to have taken a toll on Quincy traffic signals and as was expected by Quincy Quarry News’ City Editor.

In turn, Quincy Quarry News personnel were sent out to survey the damage well after the crack of dawn today.

Easily the most disconcerting accident scene was at the intersection of the Generals Bride which next to no one uses with Burgin Parkway.

Some traveling at a surely high rate of speed given at least fifty feet of skid mark left behind by the motor vehicle that took out one of the solar-powered pedestrian crossing lights at this intersection..

The only good news about this latest trafficking accident incident in Quincy are that not only do not all that many motorist use the ten million dollar or so somewhat new Generals Bridge, even fewer pedestrians dare cross Burgin Parkway where these solar crosswalk traffic signals are located.

Then again, about the only traffic of any sort in the nearby Generals Park is trafficking.

In any event, so far the City of Quincy has yet to only properly close the Generals Bridge to pedestrian traffic as with one of the three solar powered crosswalk traffic signals now whacked such only increases the likelihood of someone crossing Burgin Parkway from the bridge also ending up whacked.

Additionally, Quincy Quarry’s Citizen Police Scanner Monitor was busy last night trying to keep track of all of the other traffic-related whackings during the night of St. Patrick’s Day.

Unfortunately, even Quincy Quarry only has only so many column inches and bytes to allocate to reporting the trafficking news of the day.

As such, it will next and well as last be reported how the traffic lights at the intersection of Fenno Street and Quincy Shore Drive were taken out of proper functionality when one of this intersection’s traffic signals was whacked and now those still remaining are left to flashing yellow for Quincy Shore Drive traffic and flashing red for Fenno Street traffic.

Finally, Quincy Quarry has no information as to when this traffic signals might be fixed.as it is a weekend and thus who only knows who might be the point of contact for information as Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch’s Chief of Staph Pinocchio Walkbacker is probably hors de combat for the rest of the weekend after most likely backing pints of Guinness with shots of Jameson last night so to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day..
