Possible fourth fire in the Center of Quincy turns out to be a false alarm
– News about Quincy Massachusetts from Quincy Quarry News
On an other otherwise quiet but warm on its way to approaching hot day Sunday morning at around 8 AM, the point where Hancock Street turns into Quincy Avenue was full of Quincy Fire Department firetrucks in front of a Quincy tavern that features a wood-fired pizza oven in what would have been the fourth fire in the center of the Quincy over the past month.
As near as a roving Quincy Quarry News could ascertain while on the scene, however, it would appear that perhaps the tavern’s fire alarm was instead triggered by puff of lingering smoke from the previous night’s pizza baking.
In any event, after Quincy firefighters duly checked the roof of the building as well as saw to it so that someone provided a key to the front door of the tavern to so as to be able to complete a proper visual inspection of the inside of the building, the handful of firetrucks that rolled to the scene were packed up and then rolled back to their respective fire stations.

Thankfully, the smoke was from an unkempt and dirty pizza oven. That explains the crappy food!
