“I LOVE PUPPIES!”
A Walt DIsney Company image

The week past started out enjoyably with National Puppy Day.

After all, who doesn’t love puppies?

Things then shifted on Tuesday when the Quarry ran an extended feature on the Karen Read murder case.

This Quarry feature was a recap of an innocuous enough pretrial motion hearing primarily held so that the defense could subpoena various parties’ phone records so as to perhaps pursue allegations of perjury.

In turn, the Quarry so ended up bombed with comments by diametrically opposed followers of the Read saga.

Next up was the at least weekly Quincy Quarry News pedestrian whacking feature and this time it was about a man hit by van.

Needless to say, the van won.

Then things got wild on Wednesday night at the local high end 27 hole golf course on a Hump Day.

How wild?

Police scanner chatter noted that a girl went wild in the clubhouse and may have ended up restrained as well as perhaps then subjected to observation for seventy-two hours while concurrently others in a motor vehicle apparently ended up in a nearby water hazard.

Accordingly, given many vehicular incidents locally, the Quarry then ran a feature on how the federal Vision Zero traffic safety program has pretty much flopped.

On the bright side, for the most part nationally traffic safety has remained “relatively” steady.

Never forget

Unfortunately, however, locally things are clearly looking to only be worsening.

And for the final newsworthy event of the week, Friday was National Vietnam Veterans Day.

Fortunately, by all accounts things locally went smoothly.

And as things only should go in this instance.
