PLENTY to see here folks …

While Quincy Quarry News is working up coverage of more upbeat news about this holiday week in Quincy, at this point this week the Quarry has mostly published breaking badly bad news©.

After all, the Q is the Q.

On a bright note — of a sort anyway, the first bit of bad news this week has a karmic schadenfreude lilt.

Specifically, one of a pair of partners who are real estate developers out of Allston with local investments — developers who have various ties to a total of over six figures worth of campaign donations dropped on Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch, including ones illegal, and north of sixty thousand dollars more distributed among certain city councilors — is looking to see his Allston-based liquor license permanently revoked by the Boston Licensing Board after a long history of liquor law violations as well as multiple instances of gun violence tied to his nightclub patrons.

Soon to score another score

Fortunately for the suspected wild and crazy guy and his real estate redevelopment partner, the multiple incidents of sweet deals ultimately accorded to the developers by Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch that were surely but coincidental will surely mitigate the impending financial pain deservedly to be imposed by the Boston Licensing Board upon the one-time late night impresario.

Specifically, per a review by Quincy Quarry News’s Financial and Other Sordid Affairs Desk, the latest sweet deal handed out by Mayor Koch to the Allston developers has provided them with a projected fourfold or perhaps even greater return on their investment.

In turn, such a generous holiday season gift will likely make the expected cancellation of the upwards of $600,000 market value liquor license less painful.

That and how the sweet deal likely also mitigate comparable losses already incurred while the likely wild and crazy guy’s nightclub and restaurant were shutdown given that late night impresario’s liquor license for them has been suspended for over two years less painful.

Way less painful.

For now anyway.

Next up, Quincy Quarry published a story on porch pirates and how to effectively endeavor to fend them off what with the Thanksgiving weekend the traditional start of the year end holiday gift shopping season and given that last week in Quincy a UPS delivery truck was looted .

And finally, for the scofflaw trifecta, Quarry Quarry News reported on a successful Black Friday afternoon arrest of an alleged drug trafficker by the Quincy Police Department’s Drug Control Unit as well as that the alleged perp was so found to also be packing pieces.

A few fewer pieces on the mean streets of the Q

Seriously lethal pieces and including one especially lethal weapon.

After all, the ever-increasingly mean streets of the Q are mean enough before factoring in lethal weapons packed by alleged and suspected perps and so even more above and beyond those packed by locals with licenses to carry.
