Servers also happen …

Quincy Quarry News suffered a rough week this past week.

Following a cloud server provider change, a software plug-in module used in support of related software needs turned out to be defective.

As such, Quincy Quarry News personnel had to scramble to provide mostly quick fluff all too commonly foisted by local TV news outlets once the Quarry’s website back up online.

Fortunately, it was a good week for such fluff or at least the sort of fluffing that floats Quincy Quarry’s boat.

Unfortunately, eight recent Quincy Quarry stories were so lost as they were posted after a regular backing-up of files shortly before the system crashed.

Again fortunately, only three of those lost were stones breaking stories.

One was a recap of how Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch’s Chief of Staph Pinocchio Walkbacker was deservedly hit with catcalls at last week’s City Council

Why the catcalls?

He was shoveling via his trying to walkback the fact that Mayor Koch clearly has plans to eventually see the Ruth Gordon Amphitheater at Merrymount Park filled up and so destroyed.

The groundlings are not amused

How angry were the groundlings at this City Council meeting?

It was clear to the Quarry reporter covering the hearing that no one should be surprised if they opt to plant the mayor him in the amphitheater’s orchestrate pit.
Next up was a behind the scenes recap of how Mayor Koch had to delay his long promised May Day rollout of his Fiscal Year 2024 budget for (at least, ed.) two weeks.

Needless to say, one can only reasonably assume that it is taking longer than expected to (yet again, ed.) cook the annual budget presentation’s books.

And finally, for the biggest as well as surely deserved hit piece was the Quarry’s coverage of Quincy’s long gone and by now likely all but forgotten former Ward One ward heeler’s hiring as Braintree Mayor Charles Kokoros’ Chief of Staph and director of operations.

Given her work experience, the Quarry could only fairly point out the likelihood of her so ending up at her “Peter Point” as well as added that the touts on Quincy Quarry’s gaming desk set the over and under on her lasting on the job at three months.

Further, the Quarry’s City Editor was quoted as expecting her hit to be hit with a pink slip within six months as Kokoros is facing a capable as well as clearly motivated female challenger in Braintree’s local elections in November.

Particularly annoying about the loss of this Quarry feature on Lost in the Forest is how the story was lost in the cloud shortly before the Quarry’s quants were scheduled to see if the ward heeler can still get a rise out of the ever-growing legions of loyal Quincy Quarry News readers.

Even so, the Quarry was at least able to reach out to the appropriate party in Braintree and so provide a proper briefing of what to expect even if it was less brutal than what could deservedly been rendered about this former Quincy ward heeler.

That and how now Quincy Quarry will also be monitoring local governance in Braintree for now only to be expected fumblings.
