Getting busy …
A file photo

Massachusetts experiencing a baby boom in the wake of the COVID pandemic was only reasonable to expect after these new babies’ parents had streamed their brains out.

Accordingly, births in Massachusetts were up by roughly 4% in 2021 from 2020 after years of births in the Commonwealth trending lower.

Break out by age found births to mothers 30 and over were up by 6.4% whereas teenage pregnancies continue to decline as well as that the rate of births per 1,000 teenage females in the Commonwealth continues to be one of the lowest rates of teenage births in the United States.

No ready find of data as to what went down in 2022, however.
