A condom shortage looms after Coronavirus lockdown shuts down world’s top producer.

First toilet paper disappeared care of hoarding and now a condom supply shortfall is looming. 

The world’s largest and Indonesia-based maker of rubbers had its production lines shutdown under government order.

While on Friday the Indonesian government decided to allow the company to reopen half of its production capacity, a so far week long production shutdown has already disrupted yet another supply chain.

Even more problematic, this company and many other condom manufacturers are also major suppliers of currently also very much in high demand medical rubber gloves.

Needless to say, one can only assume that the production capacity of these rubber products will be stretched to the maximum in the coming weeks and months
