Quincy Quarry News Weekly Fish Wrap: Exposés also happen!

As Quincy Quarry News’ ever-growing legions of loyal readers know, the Quarry never takes a break from exposing the all but invariably breaking badly bad news in the Q as well as unendingly so care of the Koch Maladministration.

Accordingly, seemingly tranquil winter week notwithstanding, there was plenty to exposé.

Wicked plenty.

For starters, the Quarry followed up on the filing of a complaint about a tire and rim busting grade pothole along Revere Road near the Quincy District Courthouse as well as others generally scattered along Revere Road towards its intersection with Mechanic Street.

The Department of Public Works did fill the pothole near the courthouse.

On the other hand, however, nothing was done about the other duly noted potholes.

Nothing, zip, nada.

Needless to say, Quincy Quarry’s readers can count on a further follow-up in the coming days on this latest example of koching-up on such simple things.

Next up was a curious manner of what appears to have been a three-peat of apparent kid glove treatment accorded by Quincy police officers of at least a couple of drivers who appeared to instead more likely warrant cuffing.

Retiring to potholes, Quincy Quarry followed up on a reader’s ask that the Quarry photo-document the run of patched potholes, unpatched potholes, and unsealed pavement cracks along Sea Street in front of the DPW’s headquarters.

Quincy Quarry tasked its latest student intern to conduct a drive-by shooting and assigned her with the Quarry’s mil-spec Humvee to then conduct a successful mission.

Then again, what would a winter week in Quincy be without a snow job by Kim Jong Koch Plaza’s Snow Team Six dropping the plow in its response to this week’s but one inch snowfall event?

Then again, it was also only fair to expect that the City’s citywide response to a well-forecast snow event would not be aces.

Finally, for all the talk of Quincy’s restaurant scene by Quincy Mayor and gourmand Thomas P. Koch, yet again not even but a single Quincy restaurant scored a nomination to then be considered for a prestigious James Beard Award.

The so-called “Beardies” are the restaurant industry’s equivalent to television’s Emmys and thus a bid deal for foodies.

In short, the Koch Machine went 0 for 5 this week.
