Quincy fraudsters sentenced

Two Quincy men have been sentenced this week by federal judges in Boston.
One scofflaw was sentenced for a forty-one months stay at a Club Fed to be named later for counterfeiting close to a known half a million dollars in fake benjamins.
The other got off easier: he was sentenced to timed served, three years of supervised release, and pay restitution of the $38,601 he scammed out of the Social Service Administration.
Quincy has a history of fraudsters.
The scammers include a since childhood bff of Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch and for whom the mayor wrote a letter recommending leniency on his sentencing for grifting somewhere north of twenty million to a now-former Quincy Police Lieutenant for double-dipping and who once was a regular foursome participant with Quincy Police Paul “The Beav” Keenan and who is surely but coincidentally one of Mayor Koch’s brothers-in-law.
Clearly, one has to wonder if there is something in the water in Quincy as well as at City Hall in particular.
