Quincy Quarry News Weekly Fish Wrap: The T continues to be the T.  So too, unfortunately, is Quincy.

Amid much hoopla and such, rail service resumed on the Orange Line on Monday.

In turn, as well as only to be expected, new problems hit the fan as at least a handful of Orange Line stations escalators were out of service by the third day after resuming service o the Orange Line.

Granted, per the MBTA, elevators were said to be both available as well as also actually in service at the stations where the escalators were out of service.

Even so, Quincy Quarry is receiving reports of local straphangers suffering less than reliable service on the Red Line.

No word, however, from anyone tied to the MBTA if the Red Line might be suffering any operational and staffing cuts so as to see that relaunching rail service on the Orange Line is accomplished with minimal disruption.

How bad are things?

One disgruntled Orange Line straphangers called on senior MBTA officials to both ride the rails for a month as well as use the T’s public rest rooms.

Also on the local front, this past week Quincy was hit with its second and third knife assaults this month.

Granted, the alleged perps were arrested.

At the same time, however, three times is not charming in this instance.

Further troubling, Quincy Quarry is working a story about a cellphone robbery on on the grounds of the Crane Public Library in Quincy Center.

The Quarry is also working a curious after closing time single car accident over the weekend which so far the Quincy Police Department refused to release a copy of the all but certain to be a Public Record that is this accident report.

Needless to say, are perhaps yet again trying to do someone a solid.
