Jasiel Correia, former Fall River mayor and now a convicted long-term “guest” of Club Fed. is appealing his conviction.

In turn, his appeal has received national level media attention. above and beyond the savage hectoring of Turtle Boys Sports, the arguable exposér of this now-convicted corrupt politician as well as the exacting coverage by the Fall RIver News of this fallen politician.

Correia’s attorney argued before a Boston Federal District Court of Appeals three judge panel that his client was wrongly fully convicted by a jury that was not “discerning” during its deliberations.

So what apparently, for the fact that the jury did not find Correia guilty on many counts as well as that Federal District Court Judge Douglas Woodlock deemed the jury “discerning and discriminating in this case.”

Quincy Quarry News can thus only reasonably suspect that Correia’s defense attorney is endeavoring to shamelessly work the jury’s finding his licentious spending of his found to be ill-gotten gains as abhorrent into a basis for Correia’s convictions to be overturned.

Fortunately for Correia the appeal courts cannot add time to his sentence.
