Jasiel Correia, disgraced ex-Fall River mayor, was sentenced to six years in prison for corruption.

In news that should give shivers to other South of Boston public officials but probably will not, former Fall River Mayor Jasiel Correia is now looking at a six years stay in a Club Fed.

While yesterday there was some breaking his way news given that the judge presiding over his trial vacated some of the guilty verdicts of his many count indictment, the remaining in place guilty verdicts were sufficient to see Correira slapped with a six-year sentence and thus more than half of what federal prosecutors were seeking before some of the guilty verdicts were vacated.
