Back in service but for how long?

The problematic new Orange and Red lines trains from China were quietly slipped back onto tracks on the Fourth of July after they were yet again taken out of service two weeks ago for new problems. This time the problem was with a defective battery design.

The MBTA claims that the (battery, ed.) problems have been addressed.

Fortunately – so far anyway, there have been no reports of sparks or other problems with the yet again needing repairs new Chinese subway trains.

Net yet anyway; after all, the week is still young even if long weekend holiday shortened.

“Move along folks, nothing to see here …”

Quincy Quarry News pondered reaching out to Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch for comment as he is also the most senior member of the MBTA’s board of directors as well as given his decade-long additional role as the Chair of the MBTA Advisory Board; however, for reasons obvious the Quarry’s City Editor decided that it was not worth wasting the time knowing that the Quarry does not enjoy the ready access that does the local tabloid or South Shore broadsheet as they are more than willing to spread his bovine byproduct.
