Joey Chestnut, fourteen-time hot dog eating world champion, showed up on crutches at Friday’s weigh-in in advance of Monday’s annual hot dog eating championship at Coney Island.
“It’s a ruptured tendon,” said Chestnut.
“It’s all right. I’ll be able to stand up and eat …” added Joey.
“I’m not eating with my leg,” Chestnut further added.
