After promising to see his Fiscal Year budget proposal released for public review on Tuesday, Mayor Koch’s budget was only just released today.

Then again, rolling out bad news on a Friday is the standard operating procedure by a party facing blowback over the bad news in the hope that rancor over the bad news will fade over the weekend.

Needless to say, Quincy Quarry’s ever-growing legions can count on the quants and bean counters at the Quarry to give the budget as close a review as is possible on what is proposed woefully short on standard information. That and report on it as appropriate.
In the meanwhile, per a quick first glance, Koch’s proposed budget appears to be rife with interesting problems and errata.
