Quincy Center Snow Pile named!

Before hooking up Quincy Quarry’s sled dogs to the Quarry’s dog sled to hit the mean and currently frozen streets of Quincy to search for the news of the day, the wags in the Quincy Quarry newsroom decided to name the enhanced and now but a single snow pile in front of Quincy’s old city hall.

The name?

Mount Koch!

Specifically, Mount Thomas P. Koch.

While short, Mount Koch is stout. 

That and sure to last a while as the extended forecast is not conducive to melting this round mound anytime soon.

Unless, that is, Kim Jong Koch Plaza’s Snow Team Six is ordered to remove this latest attack of piles via a hauling out of the pile conducted under the cover of darkness by a maladministration long known for its lack of transparency.

In the meanwhile, however, the overnight freezing of water care of melting snow is posing a considerable risk to pedestrians as much of this part of Kim Jong Koch Plaza is now only snow blocked, much of the rest of it is now a hockey rink.
