A way over the top alleyway to access parking

Quincy Center’s Generals Bridge will probably be open for use by motor vehicles this week.

At least so said city officials, “(t)he Generals Bridge, … should be open to cars and pedestrians by the end of the week,” said city officials.

Be sure to note the use of the word “should be” instead of “will be.”

Then again, who can blame city officials for so covering their tukases when not all that many weeks ago MassDOT announced that it expected to perhaps open the bridge to traffic BEFORE the end of last year?

Among the first of many koched-up Koch Machine projects

That and given the Koch Maladministration’s long history of seeing essentially all of its major initiatives run late to wicked late as well run over budget and often way over budget.

For example, it is only fair to note that the bridge was dedicated four months ago a well as at an all-inclusive projected dedication expense of around a quarter mullion dollars or thereabouts.

In any event, Quincy Center will likely soon have a new bridge to nowhere and which at most will be a very expensive and over-the-top secondary accessway to primarily but parking in the immediate area if and then when long-touted redevelopment projects might actually happen.
