Oreo Cookie shortage on the horizon?

Just as kids head back to school and thus school lunches need to be packed, Oreos – along with Chips Ahoy cookies, Ritz Crackers, and other popular Nabisco snacks – are looking to perhaps be the next supply chain victim.

In this instance, the chips and other sorts of cookies shortage are likely given that union workers are on strike at five Nabisco plants.

Granted, one could switch to Hydrox cookies, the original chocolate wafer and creme-filled cookie, but the Quarry does not care to fuel a variation on the Coke versus Pepsi feud.

Reasons include that the denizens of the Quarry newsroom prefer snacking on beer nuts when tapping the office beer tap.
