There’s a shortage of port-a-potties in Maine.  Royal Flush in South Portland is currently facing a backup more than 60 port-a-potties currently on backorder.  The problem: factories that make them are suffering from consitpated plastic supply chains manufacturing issues care of COVID-19.  Plus, customers are renting porta-a-potties for longer periods of time because of all manner of impacts of the pandemic.

Port-a-potty shortage about to hit the fan?

Maine faces a port-a-potty shortage.

Dixville Notch NH can say what it may about leading the way when it comes to presidential elections, but Maine looks to be the first to point out a pending backup dealing with Number Two and perhaps even nationwide care of impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Between supply chain problems involving plastic feedstocks needed for making new porta-a-potties to increased demand for them as well as longer rentals, one should be prepared for backups in the coming months when heading out and about to relieve oneself of pandemic cabin fever.
