Alcohol home deliveries triple In Massachusetts during COVID-19 pandemic.
As should come as no great surprise to most everyone, home deliveries of alcohol have increased during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Even so, up by three hundred percent within Massachusetts surprised even the hard-drinking the Quincy Quarry newsroom, albeit for the fact that the Quarry has long relied on delivery for its adult libations.
Similarly gobsmacking was that state officials claim that since last August, inspectors have visited more than 21,000 licensed alcohol businesses in Massachusetts and found 98% in compliance with Massachusetts Governor Charles Baker’s pandemic-related executive orders which have enabled more ready home delivery of adult libations, including mixed drinks.
Regardless, it will be interesting to see what happens with the volume of deliveries of adult libations after the COVID-19 eventually abates.
