Elderly Quincy female pedestrian struck and killed at approximately 1 PM on Friday.
The mean streets of Quincy continue to become only meaner.
Earlier this month another senior was struck and killed near Gennaro’s Restaurant on Quincy Avenue. Quincy is thus already above its average annual rate of pedestrian fatalities only halfway through 2020 during a time when traffic levels have been running well below average given the Coronavirus pandemic.
The woman killed on Friday was said to be in eighties. She was fatally struck near the intersection of South Street and Southern Artery near the large senior housing complex at 1000 Southern Artery.

Also no comment out of City Hall as regards what it plans to do to protect seniors.
