Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former lawyer and apparent longtime fixer, made a surprise appearance on Thursday morning in a Manhattan federal courtroom to plead guilty to a new criminal charge.
The expected new guilty plea in Federal District Court marks the first time the office of the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, has directly charged Mr. Cohen.
While particulars are still scare on what is unexpectedly breaking badly news©, in exchange for pleading guilty and continuing to cooperate with Mr. Mueller, Cohen is surely angling for a lighter sentence than he otherwise would.
That and perhaps so also carve out a few pounds of payback.
Where the others are singing for their supper, you get the feeling Cohen, in addition to saving his neck, so to speak, feels betrayed and wants to hurt him.

The moves comes just two weeks before Mr. Cohen, 52, is scheduled to be sentenced for his earlier guilty plea. That case, which also included bank and tax crimes, was brought by federal prosecutors in Manhattan.
While particulars are still scare on what is unexpectedly breaking badly news©, President Nixon has yet again been proven to be prescient.
