Quincy is facing flooding all over the Q care of today’s Nor’easter.
Flooding is rampant at the usual locations around Quincy at noon today as well as a few more given expected record high tides given storm surge piling on top of the normal tidal flow.
Even more problematic, today’s noon flooding will be but the first of three lunar high tides expected during this storm. today.
As a public service reminder, the Quincy Police Department posted a video from a flooded run of Sea Street to remind people to stay put whenever possible and most especially not try driving through flooded areas as such runs the risk of ending up stuck and so further burden first responders who then have to bail out those who end up flooded out and so stuck.
The Quincy Police Department also posted a still image that conveys just how deep a flooded area can be.
Again, locals should keep it in mind that the storm is expected to continue through BOTH tonight’s high tide around midnight and tomorrow’s high tide at noon.
As such, plan on staying home and binge watching – if, that is, your residence is high and dry.
