Quincy Mayor Koch to address his latest Q-up’s in the Q?
Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch will be hosting a Q-up breakfast next Thursday to address what is up but mostly down in the Q.
At last report, tickets are still available.
This will be the first public appearance by Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch in the wake of state officials rejecting his deeply flawed and sure to be needlessly, if not also insanely, expensive proposal to build a new Quincy District Courthouse over an also proposed to be renovated Quincy Center MBTA station.
As a result of his long pressing his latest sure to be expensive bad plans to replace both the courthouse and redo the Quincy Center station, both ending up rejected now appears to have so dropped both from the current cycle of primarily state bond money funded project funding needed to finance such projects.
In turn, both projects will now likely have to be both drastically revised before they might be considered for funding in the next rounds of state bond funding several or more years hence that primarily fund such projects.
In other words, Mayor Koch rolled the dice while playing with taxpayers’ money and crapped out yet again.
Further implications include that this latest delay in renovating the variously decrepit as well as partially condemned Quincy Center MBTA station will likely also result in another delay in his concurrent plans to make Quincy Center Great Again.
Needless to say, Quincy Quarry is actively considering attending what could perhaps turn out to be the mayor’s last official meal even if the Quarry is at the same time confident that he will likely ignore any questions posed by Quincy Quarry during Q&A at this event.
After all, watching bovine byproduct spewing can be wicked amusing to watch so long as one is not downwind.
A word to the wise, however: those who do opt to attend would be well-advised to hit the buffet line ASAP.
