Nixon on Kasich’s chances to secure the Republican presidential nomination.
Quincy Quarry continues to crib commentary from @dick_nixon and who continues to by far most the accurate prognosticator as well as sentient commentator on this year’s unprecedentedly tumultuous and often much worse than merely low brow presidential race.
I am not making predictions or definitive statements. But it will be a goddamn bloodbath on the Republican side. Watch Kasich.
— Richard M. Nixon (@dick_nixon) December 12, 2013
In his latest column, Nixon explains how the calm, reasonable and actually successful Governor John Kasich (R, OH) should in due course during the remaining of the primary season appeal to and so in turn gain the support of enough of those who do seek true change while at the same time also appreciate the insanity of scorched earth vitriol.
And to those who think that Governor Kasich has less of a chance of winning the Republican nomination than winning at a Trump casino, they need to appreciate how Kasich’s strategy has always been to strive to secure the nomination during an open convention in Cleveland OH this summer.
Additionally, to those who fear the current GOP nomination front runner’s at least more than tacit intimations that rioting in the streets may come to pass if he is denied the nomination even he only goes into the convention with but a plurality of the delegates, do be sure to keep in mind that as Governor of Ohio that Kasich is in charge of the Ohio National Guard.
That and how City of Cleveland officials have more than sufficient experience controlling far larger and more angry crowds of often disappointed as well as well-fortified Cleveland Browns’ fans.
And in the meanwhile, do be sure to note that Governor Kasich has already secured the endorsement of former California Govenator Ahnold Schwarzenegger and should be considered the current favorite to win California’s 172 winner take all Republican delegates care of its June 7 primary, ” . . . the last big day of the presidential calendar, (and, ed.) which also features voting by New Jersey and a smattering of other states.”
.
Whether – or not – Ahnold still has the means to swing an election remains to be seen, however, Quincy Quarry would not bet again him at least being able to throw fellow WWE Hall of Fame member Donald Trump out of a wrestling ring regardless of whatever Vince McMahon might care to try to script.
After all, the Govenator successfully drove his predecessor as Governor of California out of office via what was then and still is today by far the largest recall election in the history of any elective office in the United States.
