Amazon increased its previously inexplicably named two days long Prime Day summer sale increased to four days.
Even so, twice as long as last year, sales only increased by 10%.
Amazon also failed to post the number of items sold this year, a metric that has touted in years past.
Unclear, however, is if the so-so to arguably flaccid sales over a longer sale event were hampered by a backlash to Amazon co-founder Jeff Bezos’ well past over the top second marriage which entailed an all but takeover of Venice for the nuptials engendered some consumer backlash, if the deals were not as expansive and as good as in years past given President Trump’s erratic tariff plans, consumers are worried about the economy or perhaps a combination of at least some of the preceding possible reasons along with others.
