The week past started out on a positive note last Sunday with National Beer Day, one of the High Holy Days of the hardworking denizens of the Quincy Quarry Newsroom.

Needless to say, however, the week then went as flat as the last glass of beer left half drank in the Quarry’s break and tap room.

Breaking Badly Bad News© quickly kicked in with a serious two motor vehicle car crash Sunday night on Quarry Street that resulted in an hours long closing of the heavily trafficked arterial that is Quarry Street.

Things then went from bad to even worse as well as with a beer twist.

To whit, the Red Sox not only lost their home opener, they also then ended up swept by the visiting Baltimore Orioles.

True that …

Also breaking badly pretty much as usual, the start of the school week began with an early morning pedestrian whacking near Quincy High School.

After all, what would Quincy be without a pedestrian whacking?

Not Quincy!!!

Then later in the day on Monday, the sunlight was impacted by a solar eclipse.  Amazingly for New England, the weather on an early spring day was warm and clear all day.

Later on Monday, however things went word had to be spun in front of the Quincy City Council that Quincy’s impending new $19.5 million annual shelter was going to run another $6 million more.

Mr. Handsy koched-up again …

The reason?

At the end of the day yet another case of woeful project management by a Koch Maladministration project manager who would have been canned by most any other employer long before this latest case of mismanagement gave rise to arguably an over fourfold greater cost than originally expected.

A cost, by the way, more than what Father Bill’s spent to build its new homeless humans shelter for roughly the same number of guests.

In shortly, yet again: Only in Quincy©
