In any event, unlike a messy but more fender bender accident at the intersection of Washington Street and McGrath Hightway at 1 am early Saturday morning and thus around closing time, an accident where the assumed to be Weymouth resident driver fled the scene, the Quarry Street accident Sunday evening was a serious injury crash
A very serious crash as three people suffered varying levels of injuries.
One person was taken away by ambulance, a second person transported by ambulance on a stretcher and thus apparently suffered more serious injuries, and fire department personnel had to extract the third person from the wreckage.
Radio chatter further indicated that the Quincy Fire Department Chief responded to the scene to support the Deputy Chief working the weekend second shift.
In addition to all of the first responders responding to the scene, the Quincy Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team also rolled to the accident scene and which is never a good sign.
Even more troubling, Quarry Street was still closed at 1 am with no word heard when as to when traffic resumed through the scene of the accident.
