Unlucky Pierre, left.

On a pleasant and quiet Thursday night in Quincy, Quincy first responders were hit with actual incidents as warm-ups for this Friday’s annual amateur night on St. Patrick’s Day.

Also out and about the mean as well as increasingly dangerous streets of Quincy were Quincy Quarry personnel after a few warm-ups before heading out the door.

One accident was a three-way collusion at around 10 pm at the intersection of Washington Street with Southern Artery.

As a Quincy Quarry News Photo Recon Team Six image taken on the scene shows (above left, ed.), one vehicle involved in this threeway was unlucky Pierre.

On the other hand, things went differently elsewhere.

Per Quincy Quarry News’ Citizen Police Scanner Monitor there was what sounded to be a single car accident shortly after 11 pm Thursday night in the 400 block of Furnace Parkway between Hancock Street and Merrymount Parkway..

State Police are supposed to be the police department in charge as Furnace Brook Parkway is a Department of Conservation and Recreation road and thus under State Police control; however, troopers were not available for a rapid response and thus Quincy Police covered things until a statie could take command of the scene.

In any event, the Quarry’s scanner monitor further picked up word that the driver was one of “ours” and then went off of the local police radio channel to it would clearly appear to instead using cellphones to discuss things further.

Additionally, what was picked up on the radio was that someone transported to Carney Hospital and so perhaps avoid the usual roadside check in the wake of single vehicle accident, especially ones that occur later in the evening.
