Just at the evening commute was ramping up today, police radio chatter was heard by a Quincy Quarry News Citizen Police Scanner Monitor about an accident on Washington Street at its interaction with Ponds (née Pond) Street.

The police radio chatter started out innocuous enough, only to turn into evermore requests for additional resources to be sent to the crash scene.

By the time Quincy Quarry Mobile One reached the scene, Washington Street was closed to through traffic in both directions from Elm Street to Edison Street. 

At the same time, there no signs of the crash — eerily so as there were no damaged vehicles at the crash scene, much less merely damaged vehicle parts to be seen, no skid marks noticed nor any signs of fresh vehicle fluid leaks on the pavement,

What Quarry personnel did see were over half a dozen police cruisers.on the scene as well as what clearly appeared to be the Quincy Police Department Accident Reconstruction Van was seen rolling to the scene and this is never a good sign as its presence indicates at least a very serious injury incident, if not a fatality.
