A long time and very reliable Quincy Quarry News Citizen Journalist posed something of potential concern to the Quarry last Friday.
The concern?
This Citizen Journalist spotted a Quincy police cruiser parked on Washington Street around 9 am and then saw surely the same cruiser still parked in the same spot an hour latter.
Accordingly, Quincy Quarry’s City Editor thus dispatched personnel to investigate as this part of Quincy Point has both a recent as well as a checkered past history.
That and while early in the day, opposite the parked cruiser is both a watering hole and a pizza shop frequented by at least some city employees as well as that at least one of them is rumored to be owned by a couple of city employees.
As it turned out, the Quarry personnel on the scene spotted an older uniformed officer with gray hair and a beard in the also nearby barbershop and thus could only reasonably assume that the officer was relying the cruiser spotted parked across the street to cruise the Q.
In any event, while it does take a while to see both hair cut and a beard trimmed, apparently on the clock is still on the clock.
Yet another Quincy cop is stealing time. I support the thin blue line but do not support time theft.
