The drumbeat has been pounding loud for weeks and this morning sports media nationwide are fomenting word — if not also while foaming at the mouth — of an expected announcement midday today that Bill Belichick’s twenty-four year long tenure as the Head Coach of the New England Patriots is ending.
In turn, so begins the speculation that some other National Football League team owner will be signing Belichick with the hope of seeing Bill pull of a variation on Tom Brady’s scoring yet another Super Bowl win while playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

That and so facilitate Belichick’s all but certain aspiration to pass Don Shula’s 347 games won record as the head coach of the Miami Dolphins and so become an old GOAT.
Regardless, the owners of the Patriots continue to face the challenge of seeing the Patriots rebuilt from a woeful team to but merely a playoff contender, albeit now having to first line up a new head coach.
This should prove to further challenging as AFC East is shaping up to be one of the toughest divisions in the league after the many years it was one of the weakest and so facilitated the Patriots string of often deep runs in the Playoffs as well as six Super Bowl titles.
