National Hangover Day is a real National Day. 

Honest.

On the other hand, hungover days are nothing unusual for the denizens of the Quincy Quarry News newsroom.

In any event, National Hangover Day is a relatively new national day as it only officially began in 2015 even though hangovers have long been the curse of the drinking class.

In any event, do be sure to note that National Hangover Day came into being AFTER after Quincy Quarry News was launched in 2014, not that the Quarry is ever going to cop to paternity.
