Voguing with City Workers with French Cuffs uncuffed

After last week’s news that while crime nationally was down by 1.6% in 2022 from 2021 levels, crime in Quincy was up by 9%, this week per Quincy Quarry’s count Quincy’s peerless mayor has blown past spending a million on his reelection bid with even more such trafficking yet to be foisted in the final days of campaigning.

A record-breaking going away million dollars spent on a local office election bid in a small city the size of Quincy.

Let that sink in — if possible, that is.

Then again, when all but assuredly a key aspect of his game plan is to win reelection so as to have a position of power so that he can so be able to endeavor to cover his sorry six, money is no object as well as no matter as to from whom.

Accordingly, locals can expect to continue to be deluged with spam push poll calls from the Koch Machine as well as junk mail to foist false narratives about his tenure in office.

That and sling all manner of bogus bovine byproduct at Mayor Koch’s opponent via his campaign going negative early as well as hard so as deflect the conversation away from his actually problematic record.

Will Quincy locals soon become even more restless?

Fortunately, winter is coming and the mailers will surely make for great fuel to help start fires in fireplaces on cold winter nights.

That or provide a head shot photo for the dart board in the basement.

How tired of their peerless mayor are locals?

For but one example, check out what a Quincy Quarry News Citizen Political Affairs Commenter pointedly had to say about him here.

Fortunately for Mayor Koch, the impending Calendar Year 2024 local residential property tax bill increases needed to fund his near 10% spending increase for Fiscal Year 2024 will not be set until next month.

Property tax increases that Quincy Quarry News has already projected will likely hit local homeowners hard, if not wicked hard.

A Quincy Quarry News exclusive file photo

On the bright side, roughly eighteen months after a couple of granite-bordered planters were built along Saville Avenue opposite Presidents Place trees were finally planted within the planters even though ground cover plants were not also planted even if such was done in all of the other similar planters nearby.

Needless to say, Quincy Quarry’ News will continue to monitor these two new leafless trees given the City of Quincy’s woeful record at seeing its new tree plantings then survive.

In short, as well as yet again, Only in Quincy© …
