The bicyclist died

Quincy Quarry News Mobile Three happened upon Quincy police officers investigating the scene of a motor vehicle striking a bicyclist early this afternoon.
A Quincy Quarry Photojournalist also happened upon the accident scene and so provided additional support.
In a variation of an all-too familiar story in the Q in recent years, this twhacking occurred around 11:15 AM today within the parking lot at Roxie’s Market, located at the intersection of McGrath Highway and Southern Artery, instead of on one of the ever-increasingly mean streets of Quincy..
While details are scare, the bicyclist was likely at least somewhat older and perhaps Asian.

No word, however, as to the condition of the bicyclist.
Update: The bicyclist died
At the same time, the Quincy Police Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team only rolls to accident scenes which include suspected life-threatening to fatal injuries.
There was also a fair amount of debris on the scene such that one might suspect that the bicyclist was carrying a load.
Additionally, from a distance Quincy Quarry’s peeps opined that the bike appeared to be totaled.
