There is no rest for the wicked …

As one could only readily expect and as Quincy Quincy News predicted, many senior Quincy City Hall hack hire kochholders would appear to have taken a personal day on Monday and so scored themselves an extended four day Fourth of July weekend.

Not that a number of Kochsters work all that much when they do spend time on the clock inside of City Hall dining at the public trough.

Unclear, however, is how many of these kochholders spent Monday past “volunteering” at Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch’s recently opened campaign headquarters.

In any event, it would appear that previous Quincy Quarry News coverage may have, well, encouraged Mayor Koch to have apparently showed up to City Hall on Monday.

After all, such would not be the first time that a Quincy Quarry story sparked an unacknowledged reaction by the Koch Machine.

Additionally, as well as most telling of all, city operations went smoothly enough all day on Monday even if a considerable number of kochholders clearly appear to have taken it as a personal day or claimed to be working from home.

Needless to say, Quincy Quarry News’ ever-growing legions of loyal readers surely can in turn thus readily discern just how koched-up with kochholders is the City of Quincy’s payroll with more than just a few superfluous suits and the very occasional skirt as local services went smoothly without them — per Quincy standards anyway, if not also because hack hire suits were not around to get into the way of the city workers who for the most part actually do the work.

That and so increase the number of those standing around leaning on shovels, bloviating, kvetching about the Red Sox, etc.
