At the ready to clean up a mess …

As is the case with how one often sees something never seen before while attending a baseball game, most every day Quincy Quarry’s Citizen Police Radio Scanner monitors hears something new on his police scanner as well as in this instance also saw something new.

Accordingly, on Tuesday night, the Quarry’s police scanner monitor heard an officer call in his finding a motor vehicle upside down on its roof on Coddington Street opposite the Scrub-a-Dub car wash and in a voice that betrayed surprise by someone one would think had surely seen it all and then some.

Conversely, however, apparently no one inside of the Quincy Police Department headquarters either saw or at least heard the accident.

Then again, neither did the police department apparently do what it should have done when a certain Koch Machine operative trashed his ride’s undercarriage over a dozen years ago when he inadvertently “parked” it in the landscaping in front of police headquarters after a long night of bending his elbow shortly before a local mayoral election day.

In any event, the Quarry’s Citizen Police Scanner Monitor hit the mean streets of Quincy after hearing of this latest accident near the accident prone intersection in front of police headquarters and so risked life or at least perhaps limb by heading to the scene to check out things.

While the Quarry’s scanner monitor arrived on the scene but moments after hearing the radio call, the scene was already rife with multiple cruisers, a fire truck, an ambulance, and a couple of tow trucks.

Accordingly, the perimeter was fully secure as well as in full-on move along/nothing to see here status.

Even so, the scanner monitor scored some smartphone images from some distance.

That and found it odd how the response by first responders played out.

Upside down connected peep?

However, it quickly become obvious as to likely why; the upside down ride featured a but three letter license plate number and which in turn indicates the high likelihood of the vehicle’s owner having juice of some sort or another.

Accordingly, the Quarry wisely opted to not have the plate run even if there is a strong likelihood that the driver swerved and then rolled over so as to perhaps avoid striking a pink elephant as well as while likely also driven at a relatively high rate of speed.

That and then make perhaps make at least one call so as to receive the usual VIP treatment in Quincy whenever one connected is involved in a single car accident in Quincy.

In short, as well as yet again, Only in Quincy.
