Watsonville Beach anyway.
Quincy Quarry News’ media brethren at Boston 25 kicked off its planned week-long series of special One Boston Week community service events a decade after the Boston Marathon Bombing by organizing a clean-up of Wollaston Beach.
Amazingly, as near as Quincy Quarry News could tell, Quincy’s peerless mayor did not score a photo op on Boston 25 while it was working the beach.

Then again, Wollaston Beach is a Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (“DCR”) property and thus it would likely not appreciate Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch poaching on its photo op.
Plus, Mayor Koch is already pressing DCR to turn over both Wollaston Beach and Squantum Point Park to the City of Quincy gratis even though the state is still paying off bond debt incurred to improve the infrastructure at both of these well-used recreational venues..
More likely, however, Mayor Koch is likely not interested exposing his annual buzz cutting at a local charity fundraising event.
