– News about Quincy Massachusetts from Quincy Quarry
Two waves of Quincy police department vehicles coming from opposite directions conveyed on two suspects in a pincer movement in the 150 block of Washington Street on what had been an otherwise quiet and unseasonably almost balmy mid-February Thursday afternoon.
The police rides ranged cruisers to unmarked rides to even a pick-up truck in police livery.
Also, so many police vehicles were on the scene that regular traffic along Washington Street was impeded for a time.
Multiple people came out to watch and they so saw a near textbook perfect takedown of the two alleged suspects.
Police scanner chatter indicated that a firearm was recovered by police as well as that one suspect was combative and then transported to a hospital after he was taken into custody.
No word was heard as to what triggered the takedown, however.
Additionally, both suspects were black per Quincy Quarry’s Citizen Police Monitor on the scene.
Radio chatter further included that multiple charges were pending, including assault and battery with firearm.
Further, there was a verbal radio high five for a high risk arrest accomplished without incident at a time when a number of mothers were waiting at a nearby bus stops to gather up their children after the end of a school day.

I witnessed the police flying down Elm Street while walking up to Roxies yesterday.
The police had two black youths in handcuffs in front of the tunnel workers union hall. Very scary to learn that a firearm was recovered.
God Bless Quincy’s Police Officers, but not my neighbor Dan Raimondi!
