Quincy Quarry News Weekly Fish Wrap: It was a turkey of a week.

Plus, the Quincy Quarry Newsroom pigged out on turkey on Thursday as well as continues to engage in this weekend’s celebration of the biggest weekend in American football even if not World Cup Football not so much.

Even so, while disabled by tryptophan and distracted by trying to keep track of bets laid down on US football games, the Quarry’s newshounds are continuing to monitor the lack of any unofficial word on several recent deaths in Quincy.

One death which the Quarry finally confirmed this week via an knowledgeable anonymous source that a pedestrian had been struck and killed at the intersection of McGrath Highway and Southern Artery two Fridays ago on a dark and stormy Veterans Day night.

And as for the other two, Quincy Quarry’s Citizen Police Scanner Monitor heard word of Quincy Police, well, babysitting two dead individuals on the Friday just passed.

Granted, these two recent apparent deaths might be by natural causes and thus Quincy Police could merely be awaiting arrival of the coroner.

;At the same time, one cannot help but wonder about the causes of these deaths in light of the not officially announced pedestrian death a couple of Fridays ago.

So troubling has been the absence of any official word about this death, Quincy Quarry dropped dimes to local media so that they might second their concerns about these latest lack of transparency by the Koch Machine.

Also troubling as well as has been reported by the Quarry, Quincy has been suffering what appears to be a bump in crime in recent days.

Then again, such should come as any great surprise as over the past couple of decades, crime has at best stayed steady in Quincy whereas crime nationally has tended to decline, if not also dramatically.

In short, the now increasingly cold as well as long been mean streets of Quincy are only becoming meaner.

Speaking of cold, what would Thanksgiving Day in Quincy be without a turkey of the game between North Quincy High School and Quincy High?

How big a turkey?

North Quincy lost and so finished its season without a single win in league play.
