Quincy City Hall landscaping torn out and replaced with cheap annuals
Fred Omlstead, Quincy Quarry’s special correspondence for landscaping, has for weeks been following a strange story even when it comes to the Koch Maladministration.
The story, first Kim Joch Koch Plaza’s obsessive/compulsive Snow Team Six groundskeeping team ripped out mature plants out of the flower bed next to Old City Hall on the way to the new City Hall.
Granted, the whole Kim Jong Koch Plaza is way overplanted, but yanking out established mature permanent plantings was more that a bit odd.
Then again, also gobsmacking was how the now former plants were left unkempt by the widely-known to be obsessive/compulsive Kim Jong Koch Plaza Snow Team Six.
Even more perplexing yet, however, was that the cleared bed space was then but partially replanted with cheap seasonal annual flowers.
Plants that will be ratty eyesores if left in place until the end of the year or thereabouts.
Accordingly, do not be surprised if the new cheap annuals are replaced with something else in time for the year-end holiday season.
After all, if the Koch Machine knows anything, it is how to fritter away tax dollars wastefully.

Well, since it costs more we can expect Koch is all for it. And we can expect that this will become a twice-yearly expenditure. It’s far beyond the definition of ridiculous.
