I’ve gotta get some fresh bait …

Over two weeks after Orange Line rail service resumed after a month-long shutdown so as to endeavor a month-long maintenance makeover myriad of problems and slow service during which time the MBTA concurrently inflicted a bus shuttle upon long suffering straphangers, Orange Line rail service is now even slower in at least some stretches of its track than before the makeover shutdown.

So what for the fact that the MBTA said that slow zones would be lifted a week or so after the makeover was completed two and a half weeks ago.

Instead, the MBTA opted to use said to be leftover supplies to do even more work overnight after regular service ceased for the day and thus ended up adding to the slow zone delays Orange Line straphangers have been suffering since well before the makeover rail service shutdown.

At the same time, however, the T failed to announce this major changes in plans.

In turn, such cannot help but bait reasonable suspicions that perhaps some of work planned to be done during the recent month-long shutdown of Orange Line rail services so as to more readily effect a major maintenance makeover may not have been fully completed as had been claimed.

And on an entirely different front, Quincy Quarry published two stories about ugly coyote incidents in what one could view as a manner of double-bagger.

The first was literally about problems with bagging a dead coyote by local City of Quincy employees, problems that resulted in arguable snarling.

And the other was about an apparently male adolescent coyote who was bagged in a bathroom stall while apparently seeking some me time “privacy” before the start of school at a middle school.

Also recall that the week started with the cancellation of the Quincy Center Food Truck and Musical Festival given concerns about the weather.

Needless to say, the first part of it is all but assuredly one of Mayor Thomas P. Koch’s favorite local tax money subsidized events and thus he was so surely left unsatiated when it was cancelled. .

Then word apparently hitting the fan care of Turtleboy Sports breaking the news of a troubling sort of story about a local mother videoing a beatdown of a preteen girl and which the mother apparently also participated in the attack.

Fortunately for those worried about their personal safety as well as the safety of their children, video mother surrendered after three days on the local most wanted list; at the same time, given the age of the purported victim, any official discussion of things by most any law enforcement officials is currently under a manner of gag order even though all manner of things are flying about on locally-centered social media.

In short, as well as yet again as near as Quincy Quarry News can tell, “Only in Quincy” …
