MBTA senior board of directors member still MIA

After weeks of the MBTA actively playing the bogeyman whenever it talked up how public transportation could well hit the fan when both the whole of the Orange Line and Green Line service north of its Government Center station were shutdown for major makeovers, public transit passengers experienced the first shared workday of these subway lines out of service and so had to rely on substitute bus shuttles.

Amazingly to just about all concerned, today’s commute has so far been relatively uneventful.

For a regular workweek Monday anyway.

For the most part, straphangers hit the road early today fearing the work, opted to work from home if possible, carpooled, did not engage in extraneous driving about, and the like.

As such, traveling about was relatively possible during the morning commute today even if not necessary accomplished in the same time as when the T is functioning.

Then again, not that functioning is something with which MBTA straphangers are all familiar with experiencing.

In the meanwhile, it must be noted that Quincy Quarry News did publish coverage of such actually happening.

Next up, however, will be what happens when students head back to school in the next few weeks as their summer vacations come to a close.

Work the odds, not pick your favorite

Needless to say, Quincy Quarry plans to collect on its bets for this week and then work a straddle so as to sucker bet those who become cocky as regards betting on how things will play out as students commence new school years in the coming weeks.

In short, always – ALWAYS – work the odds rather than bet straight up on one’s favorite.
