Always – ALWAYS – remember that the job isn’t don’t until the paperwork is done …”

Braintree is the latest of many communities in the MetroBoston region to land a life science building real estate development project.

Quincy, on the other hand, continues to strike out on scoring such a development even after spending upwards of $300 million on infrastructure within Quincy Center as well as concurrently offering various sorts of often considerable financial incentives funded with taxpayers’ money so as to endeavor to encourage developers to redevelop the woefully underdeveloped Quincy Center.

To date, however, developer FoxRock, is for example, 0 for 3 at trying to score life science tenants for its plan to redevelop its parcel of land opposite the Stop and Shop office building in Quincy Center.

Additionally as well as particularly galling to FoxRock has to be that one of the lead partners in this Braintree life science development project would appear to have once been a senior member of FoxRock’s real estate development team.

And as for chagrin for Quincy’s Mayor Thomas P. Koch, this Braintree life science project will be right next to a satellite facility for the Mass General Brigham and Women hospital group that was once touted by Mayor Koch to be housed within a FoxRock-proposed larger multiple tenants development in Quincy Center.

In any event, count on the Koch Maladministration to continue to facilitate outsized and mostly high  to wicked rents for Quincy apartment instead of job producing commercial projects and instead counting on the long as well as oh so variously troubled MBTA to schlep the residents of these projects to and fro their jobs elsewhere.

So what for the fact that if one can afford the rent for one of this expensive for Quincy apartments can afford to take their rides to and from work or at least take an Uber and so adding to the local traffic congregation.
