Somerville biotech lab project groundbreaking follows halt of Quincy Center lab construction

Somerville’s redevelopment plans continue to leave Quincy’s plans in the dust as yet another redevelopment project in Somerville breaks ground whereas Quincy’s much touted latest plan for major medical science construction project in Quincy Center instead smells to have broken wind for the third time per a recent exclusive Quincy Quarry News exposé.
Granted, while so far no one in Quincy’s City Hall nor anyone at the development firm that appears to have pulled the plug on building a medical sciences building in Quincy Center have acknowledged that the project has at least been put on a hard hold, neither should such omertà come as any great surprise.

It is always sunnier in Somerville. Meanwhile, we have Quincy half-center!
Ah, Quincy, the science and technology center of the East Coast. A great educational mecca for the highest achieving students and entrepreneurs from around the world.
Yeah, I know — I’m writing a science fiction story.
Excuse me while I retch.
And it looks like the “plan” for the Adams presidential library is in the can as well. How much has been pissed away on that boondoggle?
Not to worry though, there’s now a plan for an Adams Presidential Center (a nonprofit organization)!
It’s going to be profitable for someone — and that’s for sure.
Here’s the kicker: “Koch said he doesn’t know exactly where the future building will go, but the city last year SPENT $9 MILLION to settle a lawsuit over the Adams Academy building AND PURCHASE IT AND TWO NEIGHBORING PROPERTIES.” (caps added for emphasis).
Maybe Sherlock Holmes should be called in to solve this mystery.
Maybe it can be built at the city’s marina on town river.
