Quincy Police investigating yet another fatal pedestrian whacking.
The predawn accident took out a pedestrian on Newport Avenue near the North Quincy MTBA station.
The fatal accident has also closed Newport Avenue in both directions between Holbrook Road and West Squantum Street during the morning commute so that accident investigators can do their thing.
The only positive notes in this latest fatal pedestrian tragedy are that the driver on the scene and that a lot of people are surely wfh today as it is a Friday.

If only our cops were out and about in plain sight rather than parked away in back parking lots, the Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, and the like.
It has become painfully clear that Quincy Police Chief Keenan does not believe in enforcing traffic laws.
Quincy really NEEDS some serious traffic enforcement in different areas than what they currently use. Also, Quincy Police SHOULD start to enforce parking restrictions and enforcement. Start giving out parking tickets to help offset the ridiculous R/E Tax increases!
Splints,
So many Masshole drivers in the Q, only so many Quincy police officers even if the QPD has clearly upped its traffic enforcement efforts recently BUT so so far hasn’t much cited the scofflaws but rather just warned them.
